Aspiring owners or managers of medicinal marijuana dispensaries have to be aware of state laws pertaining to business operations. Before they can even start a medical cannabis dispensary business, they must first obtain a state license and comply with zoning regulations.
Another item worth noting is that, compared to other states where medical cannabis is legal, Washington State patients need not have a marijuana card to use the substance. However, they need a written recommendation from authorized health providers, such as medical doctors, physician assistants, osteopathic physicians, osteopathic physician assistants, naturopathic physicians, and advanced registered nurse practitioners.
